OUR VISION FOR SUSTAINABILITY

At NordWear, we work actively on our sustainability. There is a significant global shift underway to minimise humanity’s impact on the planet, and that is a process we both want to and must be a part of. We see it as our responsibility to strive for operating a sustainable and evolving business, to encourage our suppliers’ sustainability efforts, and to inspire and set an example for our customers and partners.

UN:S GLOBAL GOALS
We draw inspiration from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and have identified four of them as guiding principles when setting our objectives and ethical guidelines: Decent work and economic growth (Goal 8)Industry, innovation and infrastructure (Goal 9)Responsible consumption and production (Goal 12), and Climate action (Goal 13).
HOW WE WORK WITH OUR SUPPLIERS

Promoting fair working conditions and respect for human rights throughout our supply chain is important to us. We expect our suppliers to take good care of their employees, just as we do ourselves. Therefore, we set clear expectations for everyone we work with to take social responsibility. By signing our Code of Conduct, they commit to following our policy, which includes requirements for a safe and healthy working environment, respect for freedom of association, and a prohibition on child and forced labour.

To ensure compliance with these principles, third-party audits are conducted by the independent, world-leading organisation SGS.

HOW WE WORK INTERNALLY

VWe strive to create a workplace where our employees thrive. Therefore, we provide good working conditions and a safe working environment. We invest in skills development and promote opportunities for career growth. By offering educational opportunities, we aim to assist our employees in their personal development and goal achievement.

To create an inclusive work environment where everyone feels respected and valued. Gender equality and diversity are areas we work actively with. We believe that diversity enriches our organisation and helps us address various challenges.

A SUSTAINABLE CHOICE

We strive for sustainability in every stage of our production to minimise our environmental impact. Our products are made from sustainable, high-quality materials, and we continue to develop them to elevate the level of quality further. By offering quality workwear, we promote sustainable consumption. We actively work on reducing our environmental footprint in all areas, including minimising the number of transports, and clearly communicating to our subcontractors that environmental adaptation is a requirement.

Throughout the production process, we regularly evaluate what we can do to reduce our environmental footprint and greenhouse gas emissions. Planned future initiatives within a five-year period include implementing a new measurement system that measures CO2 emissions down to the product level. We will also introduce textile fibre recycling to reduce waste and resource inefficiency.

ISO CERTIFIED

We aim to maintain the highest standards through our transparent, structured, and active methodology to meet the requirements of our ISO certifications 9001 (quality) and 14001 (environment). These certifications provide a guarantee for our customers, assuring them that our textiles and fabrics are free from harmful chemicals. We conduct regular and thorough third-party audits at our factories to ensure that our products maintain high and consistent quality. This dedication to quality and environmental responsibility permeates our entire operation and forms the foundation for the trust we strive to build with our customers.
